Marilyn has been studying dreams for over forty years. As a dream researcher in the seventies, her compilation of dream studies was published in a two-volume series on dreams and dreaming. Within a year, she had developed her own dream course and had begun touring U.S. and Canadian cities, conducting lectures and seminars as well as appearing on numerous radio and TV shows to help people understand the messages in their dreams.

In the mid-1990's, a pioneer Web site designer created what was to the best of her knowledge the first site on the Internet to interpret dreams. That site name will soon become www.guidancefromyourdreams.com. It was important for her to provide dream guidance free of charge. That way, everyone could take advantage of the offer and no one would be turned away because of lack of funds or reluctance to pay for uncertain interpretations. Since then, Marilyn has emailed guidance on more than 10,000 individual dreams.

Many asked if she had a book to buy. In March 2003, she did! Guidance From Your Dreams, in collaboration with Tom Sonandres. It's available on her Web site.

Tom Sonandres has had a life-long fascination with dreams, interpreting more than 8,000.

In 1976, he began to formally record and analyze his dreams. He soon developed his own techniques, reading extensively, assisting others with their dreams, and encouraging them to take a deeper interest. In 1977, he met Marilyn Peterson at her dream workshop. Struck by their similarity in approaches, he proposed that they collaborate on a book. She accepted on the spot! Since then, Tom has benefited immensely from her expertise and gift of spontaneous dream intuiting.

In 2002 Marilyn and Tom began a close collaboration. The next year they expanded the website, added Tom as an interpreter, and published their book, Guidance From Your Dream. This self-taught guide to dream interpretation is original, step-by-step, easy-to-read, and practical for the beginner or advanced, with more than 100 real dreams.

Tom has also been a reference librarian, U.S. Foreign Service Officer, co-leader of Vision Quest solos, book store assistant manager, creator and co-instructor of The Dragon Game (self-improvement), National Park Ranger, university Spanish instructor, and environmental activist.
